Does it work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. TRACE KEY FOB works with Apple Find My on iPhone, iPad and Mac, or with Google Find Hub on Android. You choose one network when you set it up, and turning one on turns the other off. To switch networks, factory reset TRACE and set it up again.
How do I set it up?
Press the button once. You'll hear two beeps. On iPhone, open the Find My app, go to the Items tab, tap + and choose Add Other Item. On Android, turn TRACE on near your unlocked phone with Bluetooth on and confirm the Fast Pair prompt.
Will I get an alert if I leave something behind?
Left-behind alerts are available on iPhone. If TRACE is separated from your iPhone, you'll get a notification.
How do I charge it, and how long does a charge last?
Plug TRACE into any USB-C charger or computer with the included USB-C cable. The light is red while charging and turns off when it's full. A charge lasts about 6 months in standard use. For best locating performance, recharge before the battery runs out completely.
What's the difference between TRACE KEY FOB and TRACE KEYCHAIN?
TRACE KEY FOB has a carabiner key ring, a safer plastic body and charges with the included USB-C cable. TRACE KEYCHAIN has a vegan aloe leather exterior, comes in five colors and charges on a Qi wireless charger. Both work with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub.
Can someone use it to locate me?
TRACE is made for finding things, not people. If a TRACE is away from its paired phone for more than 72 hours and gets moved, it plays a sound so anyone nearby knows it's there.
What's it made of?
The body is safer plastic. It's BPA-free and PVC-free, and third-party tested for PFAS, phthalates and heavy metals. The packaging is 100% plastic-free: an FSC / SFI certified paperboard sleeve and a kraft paper tray.
