Do I need to carry a cable with BUMP?
No. The USB-C connector is built into BUMP and folds out of the body when you need it, so you can plug straight into your phone. There's also a spare USB-C port if you want to use your own cable or charge a second device, and a 1M USB-C to USB-C cable comes in the box.
Will the built-in connector work with my phone case?
Yes for most cases. The foldable connector is designed to reach through cases up to 4.9 mm thick, which covers the majority of slim and standard cases. If you use an unusually thick or rugged case, plug into the spare USB-C port with a cable instead.
How many times will BUMP recharge my phone?
BUMP carries 5,000 mAh, about one full charge for most current iPhones and Android phones, with a little to spare for smaller devices, once you allow for the normal energy loss during charging. Earbuds and watches will get several refills.
Can BUMP charge two devices at once?
Yes. Use the built-in connector for one device and the extra USB-C port for a second. BUMP's total output tops out at 20W, so both devices share that power; for the fastest single-device charge, plug in one at a time.
Can I bring BUMP on a plane?
Yes. At 5,000 mAh, BUMP works out to roughly 18Wh, far under the 100Wh limit airlines and the TSA set for power banks in carry-on bags. Like all lithium-ion batteries it needs to travel in your carry-on, not checked luggage.
How do I recharge BUMP itself?
Either way you like, plug the built-in connector into a USB-C wall charger, or run a USB-C cable into the spare port. Both accept up to 9V/2A (18W max), so a 20W USB-C PD charger such as WALLY SubNano 20W will refill it fastest.
